About Me
I’m Michele, a researcher, grief educator, coach, writer, lover of all cats, and person who knows what it’s like to navigate complex loss. I hold a PhD in Human Services with a focus on grief and the human-animal bond, and I’m committed to making space for the stories that often go unheard.
I've recently founded the Heart & Science Center for Grief, Equity and Human-Animal Connection, which brings together research, education, and community dialogue to explore grief through a culturally responsive lens. This is a newly created space for historically overlooked experiences to be acknowledged, examined, and honored.
Thank you for being here. 😻
