Writing deadlines and blog launches don't stop grief. Even when your heart is heavy, the world continues to move on.
But I'm starting this space for precisely that reason.
Heart & Science is a place for reflection, connection, and community at the intersections of grief, culture, care, and the human-animal bond. Some posts here will come from research. Some will come from real life. Some will come from my cats—because, honestly, they don’t respect personal boundaries or academic timelines. All of it will hold space for the unspoken parts of grief—especially in communities that often get left out of these conversations.
This platform isn't flawlessly packaged. It's just the beginning. Additionally, beginnings can be both necessary and delicate.
Grief, Grace, and Growth is where I'm starting because it's the only path forward.
